Brawn Mixers are engineered to your application based on a unique modular approach. After the inquiry is received, application engineers select the components: motor, drive mechanism, mounting, shaft and impeller that will result in optimal mixer performance for that specific application. The result is a custom solution at a standard price. These mixers are hard at work throughout the world in the most demanding conditions. From simple gas dispersion in wastewater treatment to highly critical pharmaceutical processing, Brawn delivers the optimal mixer solution for a variety of applications and for a variety of industries. Brawn Mixers can be found in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, personal care, household, agriculture, cosmetics, paints, pigments and coatings, petrochemical and automotive, paper and pulp, energy, and waste disposal and recycling industries.
LD / SD Series
The LD/SD Series includes both single-phase and three-phase 1/3 HP motor options. Air powered and variable speed models are available. They are designed to mix water-like fluids in volumes up to 250 gallons (946 liters), or up to 100 gallons (379 liters) of a 250 centipoise material. These high-speed mixers provide a combination of high shear with good flow for low volume applications. The LD can be supplied with a drum adapter and folding impeller for entry through a 2″ drum bung.
LG / SG Series
The LG/SG Series are gear drive mixers designed for mixing water-like fluids up to 500 gallons (1893 liters), or up to 50 gallons (189 liters) of a 5000 centipoise material. It’s a step up from the LD/SD in mixing capacity, but maintains the same affordable features. These mixers are available in either single or three-phase AC electric, or DC variable speed motors. Fixed speed models operate at a shaft speed of 435 RPM. The SG adds the benefit of an oversized drive bearing, for longer shaft lengths in deeper tanks.
BRAWN BD Series direct drive mixers provide unique features including extremely long life and serviceability. The modular construction ensures the best mixer solution in high-quality, rugged components design, while allowing interchangeability between direct-drive, gear-drive, fixed-mount or portable-mount mixers. These mixers also offer a high capacity double drive bearing, providing a unique blend of load carrying capacity and smooth, quiet operation.
The BGM Series offers a compact, high capacity, helical gear reduction. The drive shaft is independently supported with two sealed, permanently lubricated bearings. As with the BD Series, NEMA C-Face motors from 1/3 to 5 HP are standard. Other motor options include DC with variable speed control, explosion-proof or air. Best of all, the BGM utilizes the same modular design, with all metal housings, as the BD Series. This means lower total cost for a mixer of superior quality and features.
BDF & BGMF Series
Sealed tank applications are no problem for BRAWN’S BDF and BGMF models. In fact, BRAWN utilizes the modular design concept here as well, in order to maximize the options while minimizing the cost. Once you identify your process requirements, allow BRAWN MIXER to show you the best and most cost effective way to achieve the required solution. A wide variety of stuffing box and mechanical seal options are pre-engineered for quick delivery.
One of the workhorses of the BRAWN line, the BTO mixer is all-helical gear reduction, providing both high torque and high efficiency. It is available in open or sealed-tank versions. Motor options include NEMA and metric standards – one (1) HP through 10 HP. The BTO can be angle mounted to eliminate the need for tank baffles.
Many mixer applications require a drywell construction for positive prevention of lubricant contamination to the process. The BTD Series mixer provides this feature, along with an all-helical gearbox in a wide range of output speed options, and standard 3 to 25 HP motors.
These “brute force” mixers are available to over 100 HP with a variety of output speeds. The spiral bevel and helical gear set provide ratio change capability. It features drywell construction around the low-speed shaft for positive lubricant containment. Options include mechanical or lip seals, and stuffing boxes for closed-tank applications.
The BWG offers versatility in horsepower range and output speeds in a compact, right angle mixer drive. It is also available with optional drywell construction, with a wide range of mounting configurations. One of its greatest features is the high gear ratio for low-speed applications, such as flocculation or polymer blending.
