HDF Pumps are recommended for abrasive slurries, suspended and non-suspended solids and line-size solids. All SANDPIPER Heavy Duty Flap Pumps are configured with bottom discharge porting to prevent settling solids from shortening pump life and provide superior suction lift. Most HDF pumps are thick wall constructed of Sand Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel with elastomer and TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) diaphragms and check valves. See Individual pump descriptions for more detail.
Unique features for this configuration include: • Pumps up to line size solids • Bottom discharge porting, discharges settling solids • Superior suction lift of up to 24 ft. • Easy access to serviceable components • Thick manifold and chamber walls • Diaphragm wear pads extend service life
HDF2 pumps are thick wall constructed of Sand Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel with elastomer and TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) diaphragms and check valves.
SA1 pumps are thick wall constructed of Sand Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel with elastomer and TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) diaphragms and check valves.
HD20F pumps are available with either reinforced threaded or flanged connection. The robust, yet lightweight design allows for ease of maintenance and movement, and is ideal for handling solids and corrosive fluids. This unique pump has been engineered to fully function in any position, includes lifting handles and hanging points, and has durable mounting feet. This is an ideal solution for numerous applications.
HDF1 pumps are thick wall constructed of Sand Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron and Stainless Steel with elastomer and TPE (thermal plastic elastomer) diaphragms and check valves.
HDB Metallic Pumps are ideal for thin to highly viscous and small solids-laden fluids, while providing excellent suction lift capability and exclusive variable porting options (side, top, bottom and dual). HDB pumps are thick wall constructed of Sand Casted Aluminum, Cast Iron, Stainless Steel or Alloy C with elastomer, TPE (thermal plastic elastomers) and PTFE options in diaphragms and check valves. HDB pumps are enhanced with an extended wear package.
Top, Down, & Side Porting Positions
Optimized performance depending on the pumped fluid or installation requirements. ● Top Ported: For fluids containing floating solids, suspended solids, or entrained gases. The discharge port is positioned above the center of the pump for easier evacuation and less build-up of solid material or gases. ● Down Ported: For fluids containing settling solids. The discharge port is positioned below the center of the pump so solids settle in the elbow and are discharged. This helps reduce wear on the diaphragms and associated components. ● Side Ported: For use in confined spaces. The ports are positioned with the center of the pump, allowing for installation in smaller, confined spaces.
